For two decades now, Polish Union of Cosmetics Industry has been increasing the competitiveness of domestic companies, educating and promoting the business around the world. On the 5 th of September 5, the official jubilee of the organization took place, which gathered many significant figures related to the cosmetic industry.

The event organized in Józefów near Warsaw attracted nearly 300 guests – including the president of Delia, Karol Szmich, who has been a member of the board of PZPK since last year, and our Marketing Director – Renata Ciszewska.
Jubilee of Kosmetyczni.pl was opened by the president Wanda Stypułkowska and Henryk Orfinger, one of the founders of the organization. I was, I am and will be a dreamer – this is what the long-time union leader said about himself. His dreams and dreams of 14 other companies helped to establish Polish Union of Cosmetics Industry 20 years ago. It gradually developed and strengthened its position with the addition of new companies. Today, the organization has over 240 members.

Jubilee conference was divided into three parts and provided the participants with a solid dose of the most up-to-date knowledge. The guests also had the opportunity to take part in interesting discussions, additionally animated by the fact that it was first, such large meeting of the industry in over two years!
Taking this opportunity, we wish PZPK another 20 years of dynamic and fruitful development!
Fruit, colors, energy and fun – these were the main slogans of an event which took place in Warsaw on July the 13th. Our goal was to present the atmosphere of Dairy Fun body care series in a very sensual way. Among the abundant vegetation of plots located in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, invited guests enjoyed cotton candy, tasty ice cream and other sweets, including fresh fruit, of course!

The meeting started with a short presentation of energizing products from the Dairy Fun series. Fragrant, thick peeling smoothie, fruity washing jellies, tasty puddings and sweet hand sorbets aroused considerable interest among the gathered guests. The event was attended by – among others – the representatives of editorial office of virtual cosmetics portal and nowoscikosmetyczne.pl We also invited famous influencers and people from the world of show business. Among others, Sylwia Nowak, Nadjowa and Agata Manosa appeared at the event.

At the end, we offered the participants a handicraft workshop, during which they could make their own plaster pendants, filled with fragrances and dried fruit. Gold Cross of Merit is the highest expression of respect for the daily, hard work of Polish Entrepreneurs – full of commitment and strength in facing everyday challenges. This year, this unique award went to only eighteen carefully selected people all over Poland. Among them was also the founder of Delia Cosmetics – Józef Szmich.

It is a great honor, pride and appreciation of the many years of intense and determined work of Mr. Szmich. According to the 1992 Act, the Cross of Merit is a reward for people who have contributed to the State or citizens by performing acts that exceed the scope of their normal duties and that are of significant benefit to the State or citizens.

‘Your activity is associated with great dedication and commitment, because you are responsible not only for the future of your companies, but also of the employees they employ’ – said the President during the award ceremony. These words have a special meaning, especially now – in times of geopolitical uncertainty.

We are pleased to observe that the community of Delia’s #coolChicks is growing at a cosmic pace! This is mostly due to a spring competition with an attractive main prize -trip to the spa and special attractions, including professional metamorphosis and a photo shoot. Four #coolChicks from Łęczyca were second to none!

The outcome of the multi-stage, demanding competition with nearly 400 submitted films was not the easiest one. Finally, we picked a team of four #coolChicks from the vicinity of Łęczyca. The lucky winners were Ewa, Edyta, Paulina and Kinga, who spent an amazing weekend with Delia from 3rd till 5th of June at the Manor House Hotel. They enjoyed a massage in the SPA, baths, swimming pools, delicious cuisine, and above all: the final make-up and fashion workshops with the Delia brand. Another important distinction for the President of Delia Cosmetics – Karol Szmich has received a nomination for prestigious Manager of the Year 2021 Award of Lodz Region in the category of large enterprises, proving that our company focuses primarily on development and dynamic expansion.

The event organized by Dziennik Łódzki, Strefa Biznesu and Business Center Club is one of the most important for entrepreneurs from Łódź Region. This year, the rivalry was exceptionally strong – the jury picked best managers who show above-average effectiveness in running companies and achieve impressive economic results, not forgetting about social issues, i.e. helping others.

For years, Delia Cosmetics has been involved in supporting organizations that help people – both adults and children. Among them are institutions supporting women struggling with cancer and Caritas, which has been operating for many years. Delia also regularly financially supports Gajusz Foundation for terminally ill children, as their mission is very close to our hearts.

Pageant, pageant and… we have the winner! The title of Miss Polonia 2022 was officially awarded on the 27th of May in Włocławek. It went to Krystyna Sokołowska, an ambitious student of the Academy of Physical Education and University of Economics, fluent in two foreign languages. But the energetic beauty with gymnastic passion wasn’t the only one distinguished during this emotional day …

This year, for the first time, we awarded the #fajna Babka Delii (the cool lady of Delia) title, which reflects values uniting the community built around our brand. The passions and personalities of this year’scandidates perfectly match the philosophy of #FajneBabki – authentic, socially active women full of motivation to act. Women who pursue their passions and achieve their goals. One of the finalists of this year’s pageant – Klaudia Andrzejewska – truly represents all these qualities and she has become the first winner of #fajnaBabka Delii title.

The final gala was hosted by current MISS WORLD – Karolina Bielawska from Łódź, while the crown was handed over by Miss Polonia 2021 – Natalia Gryglewska. We have actively cooperated with her in our best-selling line of hair care cosmetics – Cameleo Anti Damage. Importantly – Delia Cosmetics took care of the make-up and hairstyles of all Miss Polonia candidates in the final and funded many valuable prizes.

The founder of Delia is well recognized not only by Lodz’s business community, but also in various charity and educational organizations. Józef Szmich’s exceptional involvement in numerous projects resulted in granting him an extraordinary distinction – the “Wings of the Imagination” statuette.

According to many educators, scientists and teachers, the titles granted by LODZ SUMMARY OF INNOVATIVE MOVEMENT IN EDUCATION are a unique undertaking in Poland,allowing to present creative people, who implement valuable teaching models into educational practice. In the finals of each school year, there is a presentation of outstanding scientists and educators, authors of programs of methodological, organizational and scientific innovation who, as a result of the competitions signed, received the titles of “Ambassadors of Innovative Ideas and Pedagogical Practices”, “Masters of Education”, “Leaders in Education” and “Teachers of Innovators”.
Such titles have been won so far by, among others: Professor Jerzy Bralczyk, Professor Jan Miodek, actress Anna Dymna, the reverend Kazimierz Tischner and distinguished professors of pedagogics, social activists, school innovators, creative directors and innovative employers. Now the founder of Delia has joined this impressive group.
]]>For the first time in two years, the classic Cosmoprof fair in Bologna was held in a full-on live format. The break was obviously related to the pandemic. At the turn of April and May, over 2,700 exhibitors from 69 countries had the opportunity to meet their current and potential customers in person. We couldn’t miss it!

Polish cosmetics companies presented their offer in the national pavilion – hall No. 16. During the official opening, Blanka Chmurzyńska-Brown – general director of the Polish Union of the Cosmetics Industry, spoke about the domestic cosmetics market.

The 53rd edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna was held from April the 28th till May the 1st. These dates was postponed twice previously, so after a forced break, the event could take place under favorable circumstances, without the pressure caused by Covid-19 restrictions. The resulting confusion did not prevent us from preparing for the fair with exceptional care. Delia’s stand was impressive, and the employees of our Export and B2B Departments had their hands full of work for these few days – in the beginning of a very fruitful spring season!
]]>How to create a space probe simulator!? It’s an easy task … for students of Lodz Technical School of Automation and Robotics, who have qualified for the finals of European Space Agency international competition.

Who do they owe this success?
First of all, their own work, imagination and excellent technical preparation. As long-term partners of the Technical College, we look at their discoveries and achievements with even greater pride and admiration.
The satellite designed by students has been successfully tested in the area of Błędowska desert. We believe in further success of the smart team from Łódź and we intend to continue supporting those who think outside the box. Without innovation, there would be no progress. Let Polish technical thought become the leading one in Europe and in the world!
]]>How are Diamonds verified? First, Dun & Bradstreet Poland collects data of companies that submitted their 2016-2020 reports to the National Court Register in a timely manner. This is how a list of nearly 15 000 companies is created. These companies must have high current liquidity and cannot be in arrears with their contractors. They also have positive risk rating for cooperation and credibility. Enterprises meeting above conditions additionally had to demonstrate a positive financial result and the value of equity.

Ultimately, the 2022 list included companies with 15 percent and greater increase of value. Entities with a negative value of the revaluation in at least one of the last three years and the ones not maintaining a continuous growth character were removed from the list. Delia Cosmetics positively passed all stages of Dun & Bradstreet Poland verification and finally received one of the most important business awards. We are extremely proud!
